Dysfunctional Routines
Dear CSS Members and Colleagues:

I present you “Dysfunctional Routines” which is from HBR I believe though I’ve had it so long I can’t remember the specific reference. The point is that nothing is ever accomplished unless there is an urgency to do so, and such urgency must be from a “top-down” approach with leadership driving the change. How many times have you been in a meeting where the principles of “Dysfunctional Routines” are in effect? Ask yourself next time, if your leadership feels the urgency and if they can avoid such a dysfunctional routine.
